What If You Could Read A Travelers Mind – P.S. I Am On My Way

I yet have to meet Trisha, the 26 year old founder of P.S. I am on my way. She inspired me with her travel posts about anything that runs in her mind without editing it. A refreshing look behind a life on the move! I couldn’t resist to get in touch and ask her some questions.

I am not traveling. I just choose to be somewhere else, all the time.

Trisha is one of those people who left their comfortable life to travel the world and learn about life. Her style is to stay in one place she likes for 3 months (or more) to know what it feels like to eat, cook, speak and sleep in another culture that isn’t hers.

She’d like to believe she’s not traditionally traveling but she just chooses to be somewhere else all the time. Trisha also loves extremely spicy food, pineapples, plants and symmetry. In no particular order, her favorite cities in the world are Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong and Tel Aviv.

Cheap flights? Try changing the sales city!

I’m not really sure as I am not a frequent flier. I stay in places for a long time so I guess I just fly at most, 6 times a year. The best tip I can give is to experiment with different countries in your browser. Ideally, wherever you are logged in, the prices of the flights are different so give it a try! I also sign up for loyalty programs.

When traveling, money is not the point.

When traveling, money is not the point. Money is evil and it’s controlling our lives. The funny part is, we let it. Backpacking South America was the first rodeo and the greatest travel experience I ever had because I learned that traveling is not about the money. It’s about the drive, the passion and the enthusiasm. I know someone who’s been saving to travel the world. He saved a lot of money, to be honest. It took him years to be able to come up with the amount but when the time came, he didn’t have the energy to travel anymore. What happened to the money? Down the drain to pay for rent, buy a car and food.

You said you can't do what you want because of financial reasons. That you don't have enough savings to travel. That you have to bury your face in the cubicle for longer hours just to have extra. But I am willing to bet you are reading this from a Macbook, a savvy iPhone6s Plus or the new waterproof Samsung S7. You're probably on your way (in an expensive Uber ride) to some club because it's a Friday night. Nope, I'm not promoting these brands. I actually don't have a phone or a camera. I won't lie about having a Lenovo phablet tho. It's okay. You have the right to spend your hard earned cash on gadgets or going out. You are also entitled to staying in a very stable 9-5 job and I will never ask you to quit. Remember I used to believe in that? Now the feeling is gone. You can still have an office job and be happy. Stable is not a bad thing. What I want to ask you is to never lose your passion and enthusiasm. Do not go through your daily life just to get by. Do it right and do it with all your heart. Getting by will eat you alive! Whatever it is that you do, passion is essential to happiness. No matter how big or small, as long as it feels right, it will fit. It's about the strong feeling towards a certain thing you want to pursue; not if the choice is wrong or right. You don't believe me? Think about all the people you admire who are good at what they do. What is the common denominator they have? PASSION. Don't just live vicariously through them. Join the club. <3 Smile. Soon enough, you will find something you will be passionate about and it will make you happy for the rest of your life. That's a promise. May the force be with you. I can never change the way you incorporate money with travel but look closely and see it for yourself.

  1. After traveling for the last 24 years I find myself lost in a realm of other places rather than where I physically am.
