In Dubai there is the Emirates NBD SPG card which gives you free access to 500+ lounges in airports allover the world, SPG bonus signup points, SPG points for every USD spent on the card and SPG gold status! The SPG Gold status will get you free upgrades, extra points and more advantages. So the combination of the credit card and the SPG program is very valuable!
I will use my SPG points and transfer them to airline partners to book a First class ticket. You even get 5.000 bonus points for every 20.000 points you transfer! But you can also use your points to redeem stays at Starwood hotels. Yes you are reading this correctly, you can stay for free in W Dubai using points. Just sign up for the right credit card at a time when they give a high signup bonus.
