Welcome to China, things are moving fast here. Juneyao (吉祥航空) , an airline you may have never heard of, will soon be competing on routes between Shanghai and Helsinki, Finland.
When will Juneyao start flying to Helsinki?
From 28 June 2019 you can enjoy a lie-flat bed in a brand new Boeing dreamliner b787-9. Below you can find the flight numbers and timings between Pudong International Airport and Helsinki-Vantaan lentoasema Airport.

What is it like to fly Juneyao in Business class?
I tried my luck last year and booked one of the very first flights in business class on Juneyao’s dreamliner. And it’s the same aircraft that will also be used on the long haul flights to Helsinki starting in June.
Juneyao has been flying this airplane on domestic routes to Shenzhen, Sanya, Chongqing and Chengdu before operating the airplane on international routes to Singapore. The journey I booked was just after the planned inaugural flight and it turned out to be a good guess. I was the first aviation geek to review the new Juneyao Business class. As I am living in Shanghai it was pretty convenient to experience the lie flat seat between between Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Overall it was a good experience. I was very happily surprised with the hard product, a beautifully designed and comfortable lie flat seat. To be honest, 2 hours were not enough to test the bed properly so let’s see how this seat performs on the long haul routes.
The soft product could still be improved at the time. It has been months since I flew the product and Juneyao assured me that it has taken the feedback into consideration to further improve their service.
What will a ticket in Business class between Helsinki and Shanghai cost?
At the time of writing it seems like a return ticket departing from Shanghai in Business Class on Juneyao is 2.679 euro. Which is slightly cheaper priced than Finnair.
