Kuang Si Falls Is Probably The Best Shower In Laos – Must Do When In Luang Prabang

Finally I managed to visit Laos! It’s one of the countries that had been on my Asia bucket list for quite some time. I stayed in the beautiful laid back city Luang Prabang and decided to take a half day tour to Kuang Si Falls. Rain showers are overrated, these waterfalls are the best showers you will experience in Laos πŸ˜‰

My shower for today πŸšΏπŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜Š Just an hour away from Luang Prabang, transport will cost you around $5 to $8 return.

The waterfalls are basically a cascade with different pools where you can swim and enjoy the azure blue views πŸ™‚

And you are free to swim in any of the natural pools!

After all the pool dipping and natural showers you might fancy a snack. Luckily there are plenty of options to choose from. The blurry thing in the picture is a cool rotating device with a piece of plastic bag at the end to keep flies away! Not kidding, love this kind of mechanical engineering πŸ˜€

Soon more posts about my trip to Laos, let me know if you have any specific questions.

How to get there?

The waterfalls are about 30 km from Luang Prabang and you can easily book a tour at your hotel or any of the tuk tuk guys in the city center.

How much?

There are a few ways to get to Kuang Si Falls.

  • private Tuk Tuk – Around 200.000 KIP ~ 24 USD
  • Shared Tuk Tuk – Around 50.000 KIP ~ 6 USD
  • shared Mini Van – Around 60.000 KIP ~ 7.2 USD
