Bali is known for it’s luxurious resorts in a paradise setting. I booked 4 completely different styles of hotels. From funky boutique to a traditional guest house that was featured in Eat Pray Love.
After a 9 hour flight from Dubai and a 20 minute taxi ride I reach Dash Hotel in Seminyak. Even though it’s already 1 AM I get a welcome drink and a big smile. Those small things can make a big difference after a long journey. It’s nice when you feel at home right away in a hotel.
I am quite surprised when entering my room, in a positive way. The room is funky; hip, trendy, it feels a bit as if I landed in an artistic comic book with a modern touch. This is not just another boutique hotel. Good to know: the minibar(!) is included.
After a good night’s sleep I explore the rest of the hotel and I am happy to see the funky cartoon style in the stairs, floors, swimming pool and even the restaurant.
The restaurant is next door and for my breakfast I could pick anything and as much as I wanted from the menu. There are quite a few options so I didn’t get bored after a couple of days.
All the staff, yes every single one, was super friendly and helpful and they make you feel very welcome. Charging my Go Pro and iPad in the lobby because I didn’t bring enough adapters was also no issue. On the the last day of my trip I returned to the hotel, just before going to airport to attend Ultra Music festival and they stored all my luggage even though the hotel was fully booked.
The location is perfect, it’s literally a 2 minute walk to the famous Patato Head Club where I saw Ultra Music Festival and W-Hotel Woo Bar Bali. Both places are amazing to relax with a drink, in both places you can party or chill in the swimming pool while enjoying sunset (yes it’s time to start dreaming). Also a special thank you to the Woo Bar team Senda, Bayu, Deni and Wika, keep that great atmosphere alive there.
I stayed 3 nights in Dash and gave it 10/10 on booking.com. I am a fan, it’s something different, super staff, good bed, cool design, nice breakfast options, perfect location, check it out!
