Azerbaijan is only 3 hours from Dubai. Most people need to apply for a tourist visa and it should only cost you $20 + about $2 for administration. Just fill in the form on https://evisa.gov.az/en/.
Before you start:
- First check if your nationality can apply for the e-visa in this list.
- Make sure you have a good scan of your passport as you will need to upload it.
- Make a hotel booking as you will need to give the address where you will be staying, I booked one with free cancellation in case my visa would be rejected.
Just fill in the whole form, you will get an e-mail to confirm and make the payment. Within 3 working days I got my visa by e-mail, yeey š
Print your e-visa (no need to attach it to your passport or something) and present it at the border control.
Be aware of all the other scams and rip off you will find online. A a lot of sites and hotels are offering a tourist visa for $60 or they force you to book a hotel with them. This does not make any sense if you can apply for an e-visa, so no thank you!
So the e-visa site of Azerbaijan is the easiest and cheapest way to apply. If your country is not in this list then you have to go to the embassy …
