Not long after booking my crazy cheap Etihad business class deal to Bangkok I found another epic deal in economy! Dubai to Manila, Cebu and Macau return for only 900 AED (245 USD).
Why should I go to the Philippines?
Last year I flew to Manila return for 500 AED (122 EURO) with Cebu Pacific and discovered the paradise of El Nido.
With all the beautiful islands Philippines has to offer and the cheap cost of living, I predict this destination will become a tourist hotspot very soon. So this deal was perfect to explore more while the Philippines is still under the radar. On top of that Hong Kong is on my bucket list and guess what, I can go there by boat from Macau, so very excited about that as well!
So you want to see some proof of this crazy cheap price?
I know it’s hard to believe but I really only paid 173 EURO for 4 flights (Dubai – Manila, Manila – Macau, Macau – Manila, Manila – Dubai)
Then I booked a cheap return flight with Air Asia from Manila to Cebu for only 192 AED (47 EURO)
So to summarize (read my travel hacking guide to know what these codes mean):
DXB – MNL, MNL – CEB, CEB – MNL, MNL – MFM, MFM – MNL, MNL – DXB.
Yes, that’s right! 6 flights for 900 AED (220 EURO, 245 USD)
Tell me how did you find these dirt cheap fares?
Well it’s actually quite simple:
- Follow sites I mentioned in my travel hacking series.
- Wait until you see a deal that departs close to you.
- Act fast once you see a deal that you like, promo deals and error fares are only available for a couple of hours to a couple of days!
Beware flying promo and error fares is not like your regular holiday. You do not get to choose where you start, where you go and on which date! Your deal might start in another country and you will have to do a positioning flight to get to your starting point. Be adventurous and explore destinations you never thought of!

@loida Thanks a lot for your feedback 🙂 Yes indeed, it’s possible! I just booked a return ticket from Dubai to Manila for $56. And I have seen deals for around $350 from europe to Manila as well so keep an eye on sites I mention in my blog posts 🙂
