Yass 2017 has been an incredible travel year for me as you can see below! Exploring 29 cities often with friendly locals showing me around. Trying stinky tofu, flying First Class and showering in the incredible Kuang Si Falls in Laos are just a few of the many many memories I collected the last 12 months.
Life is one daring adventure or nothing at all! So where do you wanna go in 2018, how much you wanna risk?
Cairo
Doha
Quick stop in Doha on my epic Qatar Airways First class flight on the a380.
Bangkok
Short night out in between Cairo and Hanoi, no need to book a hotel, just party ๐
Dubai
Hanoi
Ninh Binh
Ha Long Bay
Manila
Flew Philippine Airlines Business Class and was happily surprised!
Tokyo
One of my favorite cities on earth! I love the mix of old tradition, high tech and unique culture.
Almaty
If you also want to discover why Kazakhstan is not like pictures in Borat then visiting Almaty is a good idea.
Baku
Azerbaijan, one of those interesting lesser known countries. Check my Baku travel guide to get started.
Kuala Lumpur
KL was my stopover for the business class flights on Emirates and Malaysia Airlines. Visiting the Petrona Twin towers was a perfect activity.
If you are not sure how to transit between KLIA1 and KLIA2 then I have a guide for you ๐
Colombo
The capital of Sri Lanka is a cheap starting point for Business class flights so I passed there a few times this year ๐ The OZO hotel was perfect to relax in between hectic flight schedules.
Taipei
So happy I finally managed to visit Taiwan, it had been on my bucket list for ages. You can read all about it in my Taipei travel guide.
Luang Prabang
You probably never heard about this city in Laos but it’s so worth to visit the Kuang Si Falls!
Hong Kong
A shot from last year, this time I just enjoyed the views without insta distraction ๐
Shanghai
Nostalgia, 11 years ago I was here as well, it was my first trip outside of Europe!
Harbin
Curious to feel what’s it’s like to visit the ice sculpture festival in -25 degrees. You guessed it I have a guide!
London
Ghent
Brussels
Antwerp
Wavre
Hulst
Somewhere in between Ghent and Antwerp
Other cities where I did not take pictures
Shenzhen, Xiamen, Kortrijk, The Hague
It’s amazing you visited so many places in just one year. Next time in Japan I recommend you explore more small cities, in which you can feel better of Japanese life style.
That’s the plan indeed, would be nice to explore some more areas in Japan.
